Program Highlights

MLC’s University of Michigan-Flint Pathway Program is designed for students who are conditionally admitted to UM Flint. Students can complete their English language condition through MLC’s English classes and gain full acceptance to UM Flint without re-taking the TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo exams.

Program Details

Assessment

MLC will assess your English proficiency in the areas of grammar, writing, reading, and speaking/listening. Recommendations will take into account the requirements of your degree program and department.

English Classes

Enroll in MLC’s English classes. New classes are offered every 5 weeks. Tuition per 5-week session is $1650 for the full-time Intensive English Program.

Successful Completion

You will meet the English condition after successfully completing the recommended classes at MLC’s Advanced level and receiving the recommendation of our Academic Director. The Director’s recommendation will be based on assessments and evaluation tools that help determine readiness to attend and succeed at UM Flint.
