The TOEFL iBT is a multi-skill English test accepted by thousands of universities worldwide as an accurate and reliable measure of language proficiency and academic readiness. In this webinar, we’ll go over a basic overview of the four sections of the TOEFL and discuss some general test-taking strategies. We’ll also talk more specifically about how to ace Speaking Task 1, the independent speaking task. By the end of the webinar, participants will have a toolkit of speaking techniques and templates, pronunciation tips, and model responses to help them feel confident about their performance on this task.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Claire Fields is an experienced English language instructor with over 8 years of experience helping adult learners reach their academic, professional, and personal language goals. In addition to teaching individuals in the community, she has taught business professionals in corporate settings and students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She holds an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Indiana University and a B.A. in English and Linguistics from the University of Michigan. During her free time, Claire enjoys swimming, going to farmers’ markets, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
